So today we handed out fliers again. I actually don't mind doing it. It's just walking around, listening to your music, handing out fliers and praying for the people of whom will receive the fliers. It's quite relaxing. Except that today I sort of got lost. I tried to follow the map, but it just wouldn't work. Every turn I made it seemed that I was either coming back to the same place I had already been, or finding somewhere new which was scary. It was a confusing area to be in. But the entire time I knew where the main highway was, so I figured I would give up on the map, and just walk around and put fliers in mailboxes whereever I could instead of trying to follow the map. That actually worked out nicely.
We were all pretty tired after that, but we had supper and then a session with Laurence with a bible study on John 4:1-47. and talking about teaching english. That was really helpful, and I really enjoyed studying that passage. It's about where Jesus talks to the Samaritan woman. There are so many impossibles that happen in that story. For instance, Jews would generally avoid going to Samaria because they were enemies. But Jesus and his disciples went there anyways. And at the well was a woman, a Samaritan woman, and Jesus talked to her. For him to approach her was another impossible. First off because she was a woman, and men and woman don't just talk to eachother on a day to day basis. And she was a Samaritan, and Jesus a Jew. Then later her testimony is used to reach many others, and they become believers. Her testimony would not normally have much credibility, once again because she was a woman. It just goes to show how God can work in any and every situation, and that He has no barriers. Old grudges, new grudges, languages, nothing. God breaks down every barrier; He is greater than it all. And then later in the text the Samaritans proclaim that Jesus is the Savior of the world. There aren't many who proclaimed this truth in the Gospels, not so bluntly anyways. So to hear a Samaritan say this is huge. God is bigger than everything we can ever imagine! Nothing will stop Him from His work! The impossible is possible with God.
Today while I was thinking in the shower. I was just feeling a little down. Easter time makes me miss home, my friends and my family. But I just felt God speak to me. And He said "I love you Amber-Lee." Those three words are said a lot, and they are thrown around. But when the King says them to you, you better listen. And know that He's not kidding. God loves me. That's all I need. Thanks God. I love you too.
p.s. Prayer Request!!! -Pray that people would respond to the fliers that we are handing out and that our classes would be full! Pray that God would lead the right people to us, and use us to show His Light, His Love and His Life.
Thank you!
God Bless.
And remember. God loves you. Don't ever forget it.
