Church and Sour Lemons...

This morning those of us that were still here, went to church together. One of the interns, Greg, attends the Vineyard Church and so we all went with him. I really enjoyed the service. Kevin Boese is the worship pastor there, and he has been leading us in worshipping in song once a week since we have been here. It was a really good service. The topic was on obedience. I think that Iwant to go back there next week again.
Then after Church we went to Boston Pizza. I had the chicken fingers and fries meal. It was very yummy. One thing that was not so good was the lemons...Brianna and I each tried a lemon and we got in on video. I have the one of me on my camera, and Lisa has Brianna's on her Camera. Here is the one of me:

Sorry that it's sideways but that's just how it came out.

So I am an enjoying the last day of rest before we dive into a busy week again. This week will actually be awesome. We are going to be doing lots of praying ( not that we don't usually pray because we do) but we are having someone come in an do several sessions on Prophetic intercession. And then Beginning on Wednesday afternoon until Friday afternoon we are doing a Silent Retreat. During this retreat we are to be silent the entire time, not talking to anyone. We are also only going to be allowed to read our bibles and our journals. At first when I was thinking about this I thought it would be kind of terrifying, but now I am very excited. It will be great to just spend almost 48 hours just reflecting on all the things I have learnt and spend some good quality time with God. I can't wait until that comes. If maybe you all could pray for me, to just give myself fully to God during this time and being open to hearing His voice. It will be a much needed time in silence.

One thing I think I forgot to mention is that I am learning a new skill! I am learning to play the guitar. So far I am pretty terrible, but Joanna is an excellent teacher and I have confidence that I will come home a pro. Ha. Just kidding. But I will be average I am hoping.

There is something else I wanted to say but I cannot for the life of me remember what it is. So I am just going to leave it at that for now. Enjoy the rest of your Sunday!!

Hey there Amber....just checked out your blog. It sounds like you are doing well, learning lots about yourself, and about God. I envy the time in silent retreat, just you , your bible, your journal, and the King of Kings! Awesome.
I hope you think of us back here in the freezing cold at least once in a while. Take care, and sending loveyour way!
