Japan....and everything else.

Ok so I know it's been FOREVER since I have updated this, so it might be a long one. I sent out a mass email to say that I AM GOING TO JAPAN. My teammates are Joanna (Team Leader), myself, Simone, Brianna, Darlene and Amber. I am pretty pumped!!!! The day we found out our team had to go to London Drugs to get passport photos so we could apply for our visa's. I guess they were more Visa photo's then. Then we came back and took team pictures because we are going to send out prayer cards along with newsletters. Remember to email me your address if you want prayer card for your fridge and a newsletter. We have also done some country research and went to get vaccinations! Though we are in preparation to leave, there is still over a month before we actually leave. It feels like we should be leaving next week, but the time will fly by just as it always does. Some more info on Japan, we will be working with Lawrence and Leona Hiebert in Toyota City, Japan. I believe that we will be staying a house that is beside the Church we are working with. And I think that the minstries we will be helping with are: teaching ESL, youth and kids ministires, and musice stuff if we are so able. Joanna will definitly be invovled with this because she is an amazing worship leader.

So I am trying to think of what we have all done the last week and a half. The weeks are packed to full that sometimes its hard to remember everything. We did some small group stuff, and also some team time. Last Thursday we had a session called "Trained by Jesus" with Steve Klassen. This is an intense bible study of the book of Mark. I really enjoy this. We spend like an hour talking about four verses sometime. I think we have done four or five and we just finished the second Chapter. I love it!

Then this last weekend we hung out at missionsfest in Vancouver on Saturday. That was pretty cool to see all the ministries that were set up, and we got to sit in on some seminars. I went to one about the importance of learning the language of the country that you are going to minister too. It was really funny because the speaker had three categories, from easiest to hardest languages to learn. Of course Japanese was in the third category. Very encouraging!!!

Sunday we went to a Church (Clearbrook MB) because they really support us in prayer and let us use their Church basement for some of our sessions. The people there were very friendly.
